Kenneth Thomas Kratzberg (Kenny), of Gretna, died on Saturday, September 14, 2013. He was 54 years old. Born on August 23, 1959 in New Orleans, LA to Carol Roth Kratzberg and the late Ernest Henry Kratzberg, Jr. Survived by his loving and devoted wife; Janet Caldwell Kratzberg, beloved children; Jordyn and Jared. Siblings; Kevin, Keith, Karl, Kirk, Kris and Kay Caillouet. Kenny graduated from Warren Easton High School and received his nursing degree from LSU in 1997. Kenny worked for 8 years as a nurse at West Jefferson Hospital. He enjoyed his work and showed kindness in his daily duties. The family would like to thank the entire staff of West Jefferson Hospital as well as Heart of Hospice who took care of Kenny during his illness. Kenny lived for good times with family and friends. Whether it was Mardi Gras, Christmas, Family camping, Saints parties or fishing, he loved to celebrate life. He loved to cook extraordinary meals for his Tennessee, Nola, and West Jeff families. Feeding 42 people was normal. His motto was always, "Don't worry about the little stuff, just be happy." His presence will be missed by all of those who had the honor in knowing him. Visitation will be held at Academy of Our Lord's Chapel, 537 Avenue D, Marrero, LA at 4:00 PM on Thursday, September 19, 2013 . The Memorial Service will follow at 5:00 PM. Clark-Ducote Funeral Home (Belle Chasse) is assisting the family during this most difficult time.
