Leonard "Hot Rod" Walsten passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at the age of 81. A native of New Orleans and resident Destrehan, for 31 years. Loving husband of Denise Petit Walsten for 37 years. Son of the late William Wear Walsten and Gladys Catherine Walsten. Brother of William R. Walsten. Uncle of William R. Walsten II., Dean R. Walsten and Cynthia Baker. He was a retired member of Plumbers Local 60. He had a great love of life especially Bass Fishing and Indy Car Racing. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Greenwood Funeral Home Chapel, 5200 Canal Blvd., New Orleans, (formerly All Faiths), on Monday, April 21,2014 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM.
