Gaskin "Jimmy" Roussel, was born on February 22, 1944 and passed away on February 5, 2014 at the age of 69. He was a native of Paulina, LA and a resident of Convent, LA. He is survived by sons: Troy Roussel (Darcie), Shaun Roussel (Dana); daughters: Sheri Roussel (companion John Duplessis), Dru Hymel (Wayne "Boe"); grandchildren: Wayne, Wyatt, and Kimberly Hymel; Brianna, Briar, Austin, Ava, and Addleigh Roussel; and Ambrie Duplessis. He is also survived by a brother, Wayne Roussel; his Aunts, Jeannette Dornier, Ruth Minvielle (J. T.), and Nancy Stein as well as nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine C. Roussel; sister, Diane Kinler; Mother, Vivian "Ket" St. Pierre, and Father, Melvin "Teg" Roussel. He was a retired deputy with St. James Parish Sheriff's Office after 25 years of service. He owned Jimmy's place in Convent. Visitation will be on Friday, February 7, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Rose Lynn Funeral Services, 1870 Cabanose Ave., Lutcher, LA. Visitation resumes on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Rose Lynn Funeral Home from 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Convent at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow immediately at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Paulina, LA.
