Dolores Moley Gunning passed away at home on Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at the age of 82. A lifelong New Orleanian, Dolores lived in Metairie the last 48 years. Dolores was a graduate of Our Lady of Good Counsel. She volunteered for several organizations, including Delta Festival Ballet and was active in St. Clement of Rome Grandparents' Club. Beloved wife of the late Dr. Gerald E. Gunning. Preceded in death by her parents, Frank Moley and Margaret Beville Moley and daughter Pamla A. Amato and son Martin B. Gunning. Survived by her cherished children Cheryl A. Gunning of Metairie and Mark B. Gunning of Austin, Texas; and the joys of her life, her two granddaughters, Hillary Dolores Drawe and Hailey Elizabeth Davies, who affectionately called her "Meme". She will be forever missed by her family and friends. The family would like to thank Lakeside Hospice, Right At Home, Dr. Thomas Cosgriff, Dr. Robert Jeanfreau and many friends and relatives.
