Salvatore Anthony Tramuta, age 72, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on Monday, April 14th, 2014 in Slidell. He was born on October 21st, 1941 in New Orleans, Louisiana to his parents, Martin and Josephine (Gagliano) Tramuta. Salvatore was the oldest of two children. He married Joan Matthews in New Orleans on April 3, 1993. They had 3 children. He attended Southeastern Louisiana University and graduated in 1967 with a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing. He served in the Air Force for 4 years. Salvatore was a State Farm Agent for thirty-six years. Salvatore was a member of OTMAC, National Real Estate Association, KDT Fraternity, Royal Order of the Mystic Knights of the Sea, and a member of Friends of City Park. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, golf, tennis, and spending time with family and friends. Salvatore will be remembered by his loving wife Joan and their children: Stephen M. Tramuta, Tara T. (Jairo) Estrada, and Suzanne T. (Ricky) Miller. He is also survived by grandchildren Jack, Annelise, and Tyler Tramuta. Justin, Saira, and Matteo Estrada, and Darian, and Ethan Miller. Salvatore is also survived by one sister, Josie Tramuta (Bruce) Fridley and their daughter Julie. He is further survived by several nieces and nephews and his faithful animal companions; Gustav and Rosko. Salvatore was preceded in death by his parents Martin and Josephine Tramuta. Visitation for Salvatore will be from 12:00pm to 02:00pm with funeral service at 2:00pm on Friday April 18th, 2014 at Lake Lawn Funeral Home 5100 Ponchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA. Interment will follow at Lake Lawn Park. Friends and Family are invited to an informal gathering at Sal and Joan's residence immediately following services.
