Ann Catherine Wright, age 93, was called home to be with the Lord on July 18, 2014. She passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family. She and her husband of 67 years, Gayler Franklin Wright, were lifelong residents of Terrytown, LA. Ann was born in Cleveland, OH on July 14, 1921, and relocated to the New Orleans area to marry the love of her life on January 8, 1947. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who devoted her life to her family. She always had an ear to listen and was a constant source of unconditional love, support, and guidance. The simplest joys in life made her the happiest: sharing a meal with her family, a hot cup of coffee, Wrigley's Doublemint gum, and her signature shade of lipstick. She loved to cook, was a talented seamstress, and an avid bowler and card player. Ann is survived by her husband; sister, Violet Zywic; son, Harvey Gayler Wright, and his wife, Janie; daughter, Bonita Ann Buckner, and her husband, Don; son, Donald Lee Wright, and his wife, Karen; and daughter, Lynn Marie Ballay, and her husband, Keith. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. "She lived for those she loved and those she loved remember." Private interment at Lake Lawn Metairie All Saints Mausoleum on July 26, 2014, at 1:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the
