Elizabeth "Betty" Jewett Grundmann went home on Thursday, August 7, 2014, at the age of 74. She is survived by her two loving daughters, Kay Grundmann Giepert (Gary) and Ann Grundmann, as well as her three grandchildren, Jonathan Scott Giepert, Stephen Christopher Giepert (Alathea Pequet) and Caroline Marie Giepert and her dog, Jack. She is also survived by her brother William Jewett, two sisters, Elise Jewett Gage and Isabel Jewett Hopkins and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Elise Bouney Jewett, "Darling" and William Jewett. Betty graduated from Dominican High School, attended Loyola University, UNO and Soule' Business College. She owned and ran Mid City Secretarial Services and most recently worked for Eustis Engineering as an administrative assistant. Betty loved her family, her city, Mardi Gras and martinis. Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2014, at Jacob Schoen & Son, 3827 Canal Street, visitation begins at 10:15 am followed by a Memorial Mass at 12:15 pm.
