Danni Bourgeois Pecue was born in Vacherie, but spent almost all of her life as a resident of Baton Rouge. She passed away suddenly at home early August 11th at the age of 74. She is survived by her daughter Dane and husband Ron Torres; and her two sons Dr. Scott Pecue and wife Marion, and Will Pecue and wife Beth; along with six grandchildren Clayton Torres, Brent Torres, Bonnie Pecue, Tyler Pecue, Andrew Pecue, and Billy Pecue. She was preceded in death by her spouse of 46 years William (Butch) Pecue, her beloved son Brent Pecue, infant daughter Dana Anne Pecue, parents "Scoot" and Mary Alice Bourgeois, and in-laws Billy and Juanita Pecue. A graduate of St. Joseph's Academy, she enrolled at LSU once her children started college. Danni graduated with a Masters in Social Work and practiced as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with Hospice of Baton Rouge, La. State Office of Public Health, and HAART. After retirement, she continued to supervise many men and women working on their licensing requirements. Danni was an active member in the St George Catholic Church community. She also remained engaged supporting St. Joseph's Academy in fund raising, and as past President of the SJA Alumnae Association. In 1999, Danni was named Outstanding Graduate of SJA. In 2013 she became an Associate in the Congregation of St. Joseph. Danni loved traveling and following LSU sports, but she will always be remembered as a loving and compassionate wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Family and friends are invited to visitation on Friday August 15th at Rabenhorst Funeral Home at 825 Government St from 5-9pm. Visitation will also be held at St George Catholic Church starting at 11am Saturday August 16th until Mass of Christian Burial at 1pm with the Rev. Jon Koehler, celebrant. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bill and Danni Pecue Family Scholarship at St. Joseph's Academy in Baton Rouge.
