Doris June Roth Herbert, age 92 years, passed away in the Woodlands, Texas on Saturday, August 30, 2014. She was born June 16, 1922 in New Orleans to the late Emma Grote and Mansfield Alexander Roth, Sr. She is survived by her daughter, Brynne Emmary H. Hebert, son-in-law, Randal Hebert, her son, Henry Andrew Herbert, Jr. and daughter-in-law Mona S. Herbert; three grandchildren, Lauren P. Ross, Henry Andrew Herbert III and John David R. Herbert III; and two great-grandchildren, Taylor Emmarie Ross and Mason Everett Ross, and a host of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of fifty years, Henry Andrew Herbert, Sr. and her three siblings; Edith Marvis Roth, Mansfield Alexander Roth, Jr., and George Washington Roth, Sr. Doris was a resident of New Orleans for 85 years, attended Audubon Elementary, Sophie B. Wright and post secondary at Allen School ,was a secretary at Hartsfield Co. and a Realtor at Gertrude Gardner, member of Beta Sigma Phi and the YOADS of St. Paul's UCC. Relatives and friends of the family, members of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, members of Beta Sigma Phi and Gertrude Garner Realty are invited to attend the Funeral Service at LAKE LAWN FUNERAL HOME (5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in Metairie Cemetery) on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 11:00am with visitation from 10am until service time and on Friday from 5pm to 8pm.
