Carol Coates Randon passed from this life on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at 7:00 P.M. Carol, all of us who knew and love you thank you for being such an integral part of our lives. We also thank God for blessing us with you. You were a loving and caring wife for over 52 years to your loving husband Sonny and an adoring and wonderful mother of Laurie (Carl Munster) and Stephen. Your grandchildren Peter, Randon, Patrick and Madison and your great grandchild Peyton, all knew that you cherished each and every one of them. Your mother, Fara Coates, enjoyed a special mother/daughter relationship with you. Your brothers Allen and Tommy always looked up to you. Ophie Coates, your father, and your brother John will now be reunited with you in Heaven. Your unwavering faith in God and faith in the afterlife, as well as acceptance of death, transforms death. It turns the dying process from an exhausting struggle to a preparation, a waiting for rebirth. When you took your last breath, surrounded by your husband and your children, something momentous actually took place…a passage to a better place. You were blessed with a peaceful death…the end of a life lived to the fullest. For that we are also very thankful. The Lord bestowed upon you beauty, dignity, grace, charm, intelligence and a sense of humor. He made you a truly special person…a person that will never be forgotten. DOMINIC CATHOLIC CHURCH, 775 Harrison Avenue, New Orleans on Thursday, October 3, 2013 Visitation will be from 10:30 A.M. to Noon and Mass will follow. Burial will be in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
