A native of Texas and a resident of Baton Rouge, LA. James M. Willis 88 passed away on October 19, 2013. He was born in Corsicana , Texas on August 19, 1925 to Clyde and Ralph Willis. He joined the Army Air Corps after graduating from high school during World War II. After the war he attended West Texas State University followed by a career in the oil fields of the Texas Panhandle. He moved to Baton Rouge in 1970 where he worked for Naylor Industries. and completed his career at the Exxon Refinery for Par-Tex and Turner Industries. He is survived by his wife of sixty two years, Mary Anna Segura Willis, Betty Townsend (sister), daughter Phyllis and her husband Mike Cradeur, son Chris and his wife Betty Willis and daughter Wynne and her husband Mike Gonsalvez. Jim is also survived by nine grandchildren: Courtney Cradeur, Kevin Cradeur, Carly Willis Fuller, Bryce, Claire, Christian, Conner Willis and Chadwick and Kyle Gonsalvez. and six great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at St. Patrick's Catholic church October 23, 2013 with visitation from 10:00 am to 11:00 am to be followed with the celebration of the Mass. In lieu of flowers please send donations to St. Vincent de Paul.
