Thomas Alton "Apple" Galloway passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2014, in Hammond, LA, at the age of 81. He was born on February 5, 1933, in Covington, LA, to the late Thomas Clifton and Flossie Prince Galloway. Al was the father of Julie G. Notariano, the late Laurie Jane Galloway and Laurie Jean Parr. He was the grandfather of Taylor and Matthew Parr. Al was the great-grandfather of Sierra N. Notariano. He is predeceased by his grandson, Charles A. Notariano. Al was the brother of Allen C. Galloway and his wife, the late Tressie D. H. Galloway, and Cloyis G. Jones and her husband, the late Edwin A. Jones, Jr. He is survived by numerous family members. Al will be dearly missed by his loyal dog, Poncho. Al served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, hunting and football. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Service on Friday, June 13, 2014, at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Avenue, Covington, LA 70433, at 12:00 Noon with visitation from 10:00 AM until service time.
