Albert Joseph Kleinpeter Sr.

Albert Joseph Kleinpeter, Sr. peacefully entered into eternal rest surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, September 26, 2015, at his home in Gretna, LA. Beloved husband of Catherine B. Kleinpeter. Beloved father of John Delery George, Jeffrey Joseph (Christel), Charles G. Byrom, Jr. (Tricha), Jennifer (Joey), Kurt Scott (Pam) and Shawn Paul (Marti). Brother of George C. Kleinpeter (Shirley) and Wayne P. Kleinpeter (Jena). Albert is also survived by many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, George Kleinpeter and Emelda Delery Kleinpeter as well as his sons, Albert Joseph Kleinpeter, Jr., Robert Wayne Kleinpeter and Gary Lynn Byrom. Albert started early in life doing construction work with his father, George and uncle, Cody under Kleinpeter and Kay. Later on, he branched off with his brother Wayne under Kleinpeter Bros., Inc. Albert specialized in cabinets and rebuilding homes in Jefferson Parish. He ultimately changed his company to Kleinpeter and Sons when his brother retired. To this day, people who knew Al spoke of the quality of workmanship he performed, a trait he acquired while working under the skilled guidance of his father, George C. Kleinpeter, AKA Mr. Kay. A Funeral Mass was held at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA, on Tuesday, September 28, 2015. Interment was privately held.
