Trudy D. Constant

Trudy D. Constant passed away Tuesday night February 09, 2016, in New Orleans, at the age of 68. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and lifelong resident of St. Bernard Parish. Trudy sold Tupperware and Avon for 30 years. She was Queen of Amora Carnival Club in 1989 and a longtime member, and loved Mardi Gras in Chalmette. Daughter of the late Herbert and Gladys Drewes. Loving wife of Sterling J. Constant for 40 years. Devoted mother of Dodie R. Stanga (Daryl) and one son the late Darren J. Rivet. Sister of Deena Drewes, Dean Drewes, and Dara Tujaque. Grandmother of Amy Nunez Jacob (Warren), Krysti Rivet, Daniel Stanga, Christopher Stanga (Allison), Darren Rivet, Jr., and Dillon Rivet. Great Grandmother of 5 Great Grandchildren. Godmother of Steven Williams. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Diabetic Association. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady Of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, Chalmette, La on Monday, February 15, 2016 at 11:30 am.
