Perry Gisclair Sr.

Perry Gisclair, Sr., on August 7, 2016 at the age of 71 years completed his journey, leaving for the world of eternity. The United States Army Veteran (construction and helicopter mechanic) and avid sportsman leaves behind his loving wife, Mary Ann Gisclair. He is also survived by his children Perry, Jr., Chris and Tammy; his grandsons Errol "E.J.", Ryan, Matthew, Brett and Blaine and his great-grandson, Hunter. Perry's skills of the outdoors reach back to his childhood days in Golden Meadow, LA where he couldn't wait for school to let out so that he could hop in his pirogue and check his traps. Perry loved his kids and grandkids and would always have the grace and patience to share the skills of his Cajun heritage with them, such as when to trawl or how to weave a net. And his corn soup was fantastic. Perry retired to his home in Marrero, LA after a long career as an engineer serving on offshore tugboats and rebuilding diesel engine turbochargers.
