David Jerome Gallaty Sr.

David Jerome Gallaty, Sr., passed away peacefully on December 29, 2016 in Covington, LA at the age of 82. David passed away from Pulmonary Fibrosis, and a grieving heart from losing his beloved wife of 62 years Gayle Patricia, three months and nineteen days succeeding her death. Father of David (Ann), Deborah LeJeune (Bill), Don, Denise Tourelle, and the late Darryl Gallaty. David is survived by eleven grandchildren, three great grandchildren and sister Maureen. He was predeceased by his parents, Fred Urban Gallaty, Sr., and Noral Bordelon, brother Fred (Buttsie) Gallaty, Jr., and sister Gayle Schindler. David was a native of New Orleans. He was a member for 60 years with IBEW (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers) Local 130 and finished his career after two decades with Frischertz Electric Company. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a mass at 11am. Visitation will be from 8:30 - 11am on Saturday, January 7, 2017 @ Jacob Schoen & Son 3827 Canal Street, New Orleans Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery.
