Debra "Debi" Ann Ayres FREMONT: Debra "Debi" Ann Ayres, 58, of Fremont, OH passed away at her home on Monday, February 23, 2015. She was born on September 20, 1956 in Norton, VA. She was a 1974 graduate of Fremont Ross High School. Debi married Todd W. Ayres on October 20, 2004 in Fremont and he survives. She was employed by Sandusky County for eighteen years working for Countryside Continuing Care Center, in the kitchen at the jail and currently as a Corrections Officer. She loved her job. Debi enjoyed boating, riding in golf carts and working around her home. Debi is survived by her husband, Todd Ayres, Fremont, OH; step child, Ashley Ping, Destin, FL; siblings, Terry (Tommy) Warwick, Clyde, OH, Doug (Deb) Miller, Shelbyville, KY; nieces, Tessa (Jason) Keefe, Tiffin, OH, Jill Warwick, Fremont, OH; great nieces and nephew, LaKeya Warwick, Avery and Evan Keefe; father-in law and mother-in-law, Ron and Marie Ayres, Fremont, OH; beloved dog, Hattie Mae. She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Barbara Reed; step daughter, Amber Arruda; beloved dog, Abbigal. Visitation: Wednesday, March 4, 2015 from 2 - 4 pm at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH. Baker, Doris M.  
Doris M. Baker CLYDE: Doris M. Baker, 98, formerly of Clyde, more recently AbbeWood Assisted Living, Amherst, Ohio, died on Sunday, March 1, 2015. Mrs. Baker was born in Clyde on February 3, 1917 to the now deceased Lloyd and Ethel (Miller) Diment. She graduated from York High School in 1936. Doris had been a beautician. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Clyde. On October 12, 1940 she married Albert H. Baker. He preceded her on September 8, 1998. Survivors include a sister, Eula "Pat" Sams, New York; five nieces and four nephews also survive along with several great nieces and nephews. Mrs. Baker was preceded in death by a sister, Marie Feindel and brother, Delbert Diment. Funeral services will be on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 10:30 AM at Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 South Main St., Clyde with visitation one hour prior to the service. Rev. Raymond Kovach, First United Methodist Church and Rev. Roger Loomis, Crossroads Hospice will officiate. Burial will be in McPherson Cemetery. Balsizer, Diane  
Diane Balsizer TOLEDO: Toledo resident, Diane Balsizer, age 71, passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. Diane was born on May 26, 1943 to Ray and Lois (Andecover) Balsizer in Fremont. Diane was a 1961 graduate of Gibsonburg High School and a 1964 graduate of Riverside School of Nursing, Toledo. She worked as a RN at Riverside Hospital for the entire duration of her career. Diane loved to be out and social. She enjoyed crafts, reading, bowling, sewing, and shopping. She loved to travel and occasionally visit casinos. Diane is survived by her brother, Carl "Cal" (Lisa) Balsizer of Gibsonburg; nieces, Callie Rae and Jessica "Jake" Balsizer; and lifelong friend and caregiver, Mary Sue Wilkie of Toledo. She is preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Donna Balsizer. Diane's family and friends greatly appreciate the support and care received from the entire staff of Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 from 4-8 p.m. at the Herman-Kinn-Veh Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Gibsonburg where funeral services will be on Wednesday, March 4, 2015, 11:00 a.m.. Brundage, Robert S.  
Robert S. Brundage TIFFIN: Robert S. Brundage, 85, of Tiffin, passed away early in the morning Thursday, February 26, 2015 at his home on the family farm in rural Seneca County. Bob was born September 17, 1929 in Tiffin, to the late R. Rule Brundage and Gretta (Sherman) Brundage. He married Patricia L.(Root) at the Green Springs United Methodist Church on October 1, 1950 and she preceded him in death on February 11, 2014. Bob is survived by his children, Carolinda (Dan) Belville of Columbus, Steven (Mary) Brundage of Green Springs, Barbara (Jerry) Holman of Fremont, Ann (Maureen Barry) Brundage of Evanston, IL, Thomas (Joan) Brundage of Tiffin and Marcia Brundage Selleck of Columbus. Bob is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a sister, Jane (William) Wickham of Tiffin, and a brother, John (Beverly) Brundage of Tiffin. Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia; his parents; sister, Mary Joseph; and daughter, Martha Brundage. Bob was a full time farmer, served as a Director on the Board of Green Springs and River Springs Co-Op and Tiffin Landmark Co-Op. Bob reinitiated the production of maple syrup on the Brundage family farm and was a long standing member of the Buzzing B's Farm Counsel. Funeral services for Robert will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, March 2, 2015 at the Engle-Shook Funeral Home & Crematory in Tiffin with Pastor Gary Hicks officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be on Sunday, from 2-6 p.m., and on Monday, from 9:30-10:30 a.m., at the funeral home. Burial will follow the services on Monday, at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery Association. Burmeister, Roland "Sonny"  
Roland "Sonny" W. Burmeister, Jr. FREMONT: Roland "Sonny" W. Burmeister, Jr., 77, of Fremont, OH passed away on Monday, March 2, 2015 at Toledo Hospital. He was born on August 24, 1937, the son of Roland and Mary Jane (Ehlenbeck) Burmeister, Sr. He was a 1958 graduate of Fremont Ross High School. Sonny married Sharon Claar on November 27, 1965 in Fremont and she survives. He worked in the Maintenance Department and as a Driver for Tony's/Nickels Bakery for forty-three years. Sonny also owned and operated Burmeister Water Hauling and Burmeister Rentals. In his younger years he had the largest paper route for the Toledo Blade in Fremont. Sonny owned Burmeister Racing #16 that raced at Fremont and Attica Speedways for sixty years and was inducted into the Fremont Speedway Racers Hall of Fame in 2010. He loved going to Niagara Falls in Canada, antiques and clocks. Sonny enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and working on his rental properties. He was a Dallas Cowboys, Ohio State and NASCAR fan, especially Greg Biffle. Sonny is survived by his wife of forty-nine years, Sharon Burmeister; sons Roland (Christina) Burmeister III and Rodney (Amber) Burmeister, all of Fremont, OH; grandchildren, Alexis, Lily, Iris, Alison and Mary Jane Burmeister; friend and crew chief, Mike "Mikey" Sommers; crew, Tommy Thompson, Jay Kiser, L.J. Sommers and Spencer Wightman all of Fremont, OH He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation: Friday from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH. Service: Saturday, March 7, 2015, 10:30 am at the funeral home. Chamberlain, Nancy Diane  
Nancy Diane (Walker) Chamberlain FREMONT: Nancy Diane (Walker) Chamberlain, 56, of Fremont, passed away on Friday, February 27, 2015 at Windsor Lane Nursing Home in Gibsonburg after a 30 year battle with kidney disease. She was born April 3, 1958 to James Charles and Evelyn M. (Barton ) Walker in Garden City, MI. Nancy attended Ross High School and Terra Community College. She worked at the former Hongs Restaurant, was an apartment manager and was employed as a general merchandiser for Ambassador Greeting Cards. Nancy was a member of the Fremont VFW, loved her cat, Ali, and enjoyed cooking and reading. She is survived by her former husband, Jeffery Thomas Chamberlain of Texas; step brothers; step sisters; and many friends. Nancy is preceded in death by her parents. Burial will take place at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Sandusky County Humane Society.
