GIBSONBURG: Loren M. Damschroder, age 74, of Gibsonburg, OH passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at his residence.

He was born on August 16, 1938 in Elmore, OH to Marvin and Phylis (Burmeister) Damschroder. On February 4, 1979 he married Brenda Bowe in Bradner, OH and she survives.

Loren was a security supervisor for Sun Oil Refinery, Oregon, OH and retired in 1991. He served his country while enlisted in the United States Coast Guard from 1958-1964. His memberships included; Zion Lutheran Church, Gibsonburg, OH, former Portage Masonic Lodge, Elmore and 1st member of the Ohio Regional Clyde and Shire Association. In his spare time he volunteered for the State of Ohio to watch various eagles nest throughout Ohio.

Surviving Loren is his loving wife of 34 years: Brenda; children: Dawn (John) Class of Elmore, Christopher Damschroder of Elmore, Lane (Martha) Damschroder of Lindsey, Matthew (Donna) Damschroder of Elmore, Timothy (Carrie) Damschroder of Gibsonburg, Kimberly (fiancé; Ricky Nickel Jr. ) Damschroder of Gibsonburg; 14 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and sister: Barbara (Gerald) Krueger of Strongsville, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents: Marvin and Phylis Damschroder.

Friends and family will be received on Sunday, April 14, 2013 from 2-8 PM at Marsh Funeral Home, 201 W. Main Street, Woodville, OH. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, 15, 2013 at 11 AM from Zion Lutheran Church, Gibsonburg, OH with additional visitation from 10 AM until time of services. Officiating will be Rev. Blair Miller. There will be a bereavement luncheon served at the church immediately following the funeral services.
