Margaret T. Geller
FREMONT: Margaret T. Geller, died peacefully Monday evening at Bethesda Care Center, where she had been a resident for the past 3 years. She was born in Fremont to Lawrence and Odilia (Mosser) Faist on June 21, 1920.
She attended St. Joseph Grade School and High School graduating in the Class of 1938. Margaret worked one year for Woolworth's Department Store, then worked for Ohio Bell Telephone Co. for 8 years. Mrs. Geller played Hawaiian guitar in the Oahu Hawaiian Guitar Club, which performed at Wightman's Grove and the local dance halls. It was there that she met her husband Robert J. Geller, whom she married on May 11, 1946. He preceded her in death on March 2, 1991.
She was a founding member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, a member of their Rosary-Altar Society, and sang in the church choir. When her sons were younger, she was a Den Mother for many years for their Cub Scout Pack. She was a member of the Plant and Bloom Garden Club for 16 years, and an avid gardener. Margaret was an amateur artist, enjoyed doing crafts, playing piano and playing cards.
She is survived by her sons David (Diane) of Wood Dale, IL, Gary (Adele) of Fremont, OH; daughter Diane (Bradley) Kepler of Fremont, OH; grandchildren, Brian Geller, Melissa (Jason) Baron, Nikolaus Geller; great-granddaughters, Livia and Addi Baron; great grandosn, Austin Geller; sister Dolores Brunner of Fremont, OH. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert, brothers, Carl, Robert, Lawrence and Clarence.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, January 10, 2013 from 2-4 & 6-8P.M. at Keller-Ochs-Koch-Mason Funeral & Cremation Service, 416 S. Arch Street, Fremont, Ohio. A Mass of Resurrection will begin at 11:30A.M. on Friday from Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Ken Lill officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
