Phillip "Phil" Estep
FREMONT: Phillip "Phil" Estep, 72, of W. Birchard Ave, Fremont, passed away on Friday, June 22, 2012 at in the Emergency Room at Memorial Hospital. He was born on February 29, 1940 in Jamboree, KY, the son of Jarvie and Lois (Collins) Estep.
Phil came to Ohio from Kentucky in 1958. He married Lois A. Perry on November 26, 1964 in Monroe, MI and she survives. Phil worked for Wilson's Cabinets and for General Cutlery, retiring after many years of service. He also worked as Mechanic in his spare time.
Phil enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He loved Blue Grass festivals, motor homes, turkey shoots and tinkering.
Phil is survived by his wife, Lois A. Estep, Fremont, OH; children, Bruce Leibold, Marshelle Leibold, Mitchell Leibold, Sr., Mark Leibold, Susan Menkhoff, all of Fremont, OH; siblings, Ida (Ron) Winke, Fremont, OH, Joseph (Rachel) Estep, Jamboree, KY, Lucinda Cox, Bluffton, AR, Bobby Ray Estep, Fremont, OH, Ina Sue (Thomas) Aubry, Perrysburg, OH; grandchildren, Bryan, Brooke, Blayre, Mitchell, Jr., Bobbie Jo, Cinnamon, Elisha, Toni, Tammy, Wade and Nicole; great grandchildren, Alerik, Ashlynn, Presley, Bryce, Ava, Mykel, Alan, Alexis, Christian, Bailey, Trevor and Brendon; lifetime friends, Arthur Lester, Herman Stacey, Audley Estep and special friend, Gerry Higgins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jeffery Menkhoff; sisters, Precilla Daugherty and Rachel Pruitt.
Visitation: Tuesday, June 26, 2012, from 10:00 a.m. until Noon at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St., Fremont, OH. Service: Tuesday at Noon at the funeral home with Rev. Maynard Holbrook officiating. Burial: Oakwood Cemetery, Fremont.
