LAKESIDE-MARBLEHEAD: Thomas A. Brickley, 66, of Lakeside-Marblehead, passed away late Friday evening, March 15, 2013 in Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, after a courageous 2 ½ year battle with cancer.

He was born on June 23, 1946 in Columbus, Ohio to the late William and Henryka (Otoski) Brickley. He graduated from Fremont Ross High School, and worked for Michigan Sugar for 39 years, most recently serving as plant manager.

Thomas was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving in the Vietnam War era.

He loved to fish, hunt, boat, play pool, and go to auctions.

Thomas is survived by his children, Malissa Evans, of Fremont, Deanna (Craig Erchenbrecher) Brickley and Tom Brickley, both of Green Springs, Christina (Anthony) Rodriguez, of Millbury, Ohio, and Joanna (Jose Simms) Brickley, of Fremont; grandchildren, Jayden, Julian, Lauryn, Anthony, and Landon; sisters, MarJane Kruse, of Hilton Head, S.C. and Diane Brickley, of Elk Grove Village, Illinois; and childhood friends, Bob Taylor and Joe Keller.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

At Thomas' request, there will be no viewing. Cremation will take place in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. A memorial service will be at a later date.
