FREMONT: Walter Kosta, 92, of Fremont died Friday morning at his residence.
He was born May 22, 1920 in Fremont, OH the son of Josef and Edna Kosta. Walter worked as a bricklayer with the Local 46 and Celek Brothers. He served during WWII
as a Sergeant in the United States Army. Mr. Kosta was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church and enjoyed woodworking, growing grapes and making homemade wine.
Surviving are his children, Michael (Connie) Kosta, Chris (Joanne) Kosta, Cynthia Bay all of Fremont; seven grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; brother, John (Shirley) Kosta of Burgoon, OH.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucile, siblings, Mary, Josephine, Raymond, Louie and Michael.
Visitation will take place on Monday, May 6, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8P.M., with vigil services beginning at 7:30P.M. at Keller-Ochs-Koch-Mason Funeral & Cremation Service, 416 S. Arch Street, Fremont, OH. A Mass of Resurrection will begin at 10:30 on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at St. Ann's Catholic Church with Rev. Jacob Gordon officiating. Burial will follow in St. Ann's Cemetery, with military graveside rights performed by the V.F.W
. and American Legion.
