 Alberta E. Salas
FREMONT: Alberta E. Salas, 77 of Fremont, OH passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, OH. She was born on April 8, 1935 in San Luis, Mexico to Simun and Benjamina (Casturena) Espinosa. She married Salvador Salas on August 30, 1950 in Edinburgh, TX and he survived.
Alberta worked as a laborer at Pioneer Sugar in Fremont for over 20 years until she retired. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and spending time with her friends.
Alberta is survived by her husband, Salvador Salas, Fremont; children, Elizabeth Salas of California, Juan "John" (Catherine) Salas, Cincinnati, OH, Roy Salas, Toledo, OH, Rob Salas, Fremont; siblings, Maria DeLagarza, Bakersfield, CA, Irene Espinosa, Santa Rosa, CA, Octaviano Espinosa, Scottsdale, AZ, Ansela Espinosa, Streamwood, IL, Domingo Espinosa, Eaton Rapids, MI, Jessie Espinosa, Lansing, MI, Noe Espinosa, Raleigh, NC, Abott Espinosa, Lansing, MI, Miguel Espinosa, Holland, MI, Filepe Herrera, Eaton Rapids, MI and Fermine Espinosa, Uvalde, TX; grandchildren, Stephanie (Andy) Salas-Snyder, Dayton, OH, Justin Salas, San Diego, CA, Derek (Chrissy) Salas and Amber Salas both of Cincinnati and Nicolette Salas, Clyde; great granddaughter, Louisa Salas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Salvador Salas.
Visitation: Thursday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home & Crematory, 425 E. State St., Fremont, OH.
Mass of Christian Burial: Thursday, July 5, 2012, 12:00 p.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church, 1021 W. State St., Fremont, OH with Fr. Michael Zacharias officiating.
Burial: Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde, OH
