FREMONT: Edmund M. Buczek, 81, of CR 212, Fremont, OH passed away surrounded by his family at home on August 31, 2012. He was born on October 1, 1930 in Fremont, OH to Michael and Ludwina Buczek. He was a 1949 graduate of Fremont Ross High School. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.
Ed married Betty L. McKeever on September 14, 1963 at St. Casmir's Catholic Church, Fremont, OH. He was employed by the Ford Motor Co. in Sandusky, OH as an inspector for 38 years until he retired in 1996. Ed was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the V.F.W. and the American Legion. He was an avid bowler and football fan, especially Ohio State and Cleveland Browns.
Ed is survived by his wife, Betty Buczek, Fremont; children, Jeff (Brenda) Buczek, Clyde, Kimberly (Gary) Reedy and Timothy (Julie) Buczek both of Fremont; grandchildren, Andy, Dan (Jakki), Justin (Betsy), Kerri, Jalisa (Corey), Kellie, Kiely, Jordan and Jashawnna; great grandchildren, Jewel, Jayleeanna, Aeriana and Chance.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Donald Buczek.
Visitation: Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home & Crematory, 425 E. State St., Fremont, OH. Mass of Christian Burial: Thursday, September 6, 2012; 2:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 550 Smith Rd., Fremont, OH with Fr. Kenneth Lill officiating. Burial: Greenlawn Memory Gardens, Clyde, OH with military honors provided by the American Legion and V.F.W.
