Evelyn M. (Dantuono) Raitz

TIFFIN: Evelyn M. (Dantuono) Raitz, 89, of Tiffin, passed away Wednesday morning July 10, 2013, at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center.

She was born on May 24, 1924, in Liberty Twp., to John Raymond and Emma (Kimmet) Puffenberger. On January 20, 1945, in St. Mary Catholic Church in Millersville, Ohio, she married Anthony Dantuono and he passed away on June 29, 1990. On July 20, 1996, she married Paul Raitz, Sr. and he passed away on January 19, 2004.

Survivors include three sons, Dennis (Sandra) Dantuono and Douglas (Marilyn) Dantuono, both of Findlay and Anthony (Lynn) Dantuono of Lewis Center, Ohio; three daughters, Jacqueline (Mike) Strathman of Spring, TX, Connie Dantuono of Dublin and Michelle Dantuono of Tiffin; brother-in-law, Louie Dantuono of Tiffin; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; eight step children; 23 step-grandchildren; 16 step grandchildren; and close friends, Richard Clouse of Tiffin and Barb Dantuono, both of Tiffin.

Also preceding her in death were her parents; two brothers, John and Robert Puffenberger; and four sisters, Marian Boyer, Joanne Holzworth, Evone Mooney and Annobel Lind.

Evelyn graduated from Bettsville High School in 1942 and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church where she was a Eucharistic Minister. She was a praying member of The Legion of Mary and was an avid card player.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, July 15, 2013 at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Kishore Kottani officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery. The Rosary will be prayed 20 minutes prior to Mass. Friends may visit with the family from 5-8:00 P.M. on Sunday, July 14, 2013 at Hoffmann-Gottfried-Mack Funeral Home & Crematory, 236 S. Washington St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-2424. A Christian Wake Service will begin at 8:00 P.M.

Memorial contributions may be made to The Anna M. Dantuono Scholarship Fund at Calvert Catholic High School.
