James Paap

FREMONT: James Paap 89, of Fremont Ohio, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 23, 2017, in the Ohio Veterans Home, Sandusky, OH.

A devoted husband, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine Paap. Loving father of Kathy Moore, Sheila Hafemann, Carol Hafemann, and Lois Becker. Grandfather of Kenneth Moore, Linda Copeland, Bridgette Keller, David Hafemann, Micheal Hafemann, Karen Hafemann, Heath Hafemann, John Hafemann, Heather Biles, Alexander Becker, and Sherry Becker, 17 great-grandchildren.

James retired from Chrysler/Jeep as a millwright supervisor. He was a US Navy World war II veteran and enjoyed scuba diving, metal detecting, and tinkering on anything and everything.

A military service to be held Monday, March 27, 2017, at 11A.M. in the Ohio Veterans Home, Giffin Chapel, 3416 Columbus Ave. Sandusky, Ohio 44870. saw obit in west bend news, brought back many memories of 50 yrs ago when jim/eileen were our neighbers by big cedar lake & daughter lois babysat for us. you can credit his work ethic & quiting smoking for his longevity
i am now 77yrs old & bob, gary are in early 50's
