CLYDE: John Wesley Johnson, Sr., 78, of Clyde, died at his home on Tuesday, August 27, 2013.
Mr. Johnson was born in Kite, Ky. on June 27, 1935. He had worked at the former Silver Fleece Co; Nor Pac and retired from Fremont Kraut as a maintance supervisor.
His passion was repairing lawn mowers, especially, John Deere.
On August 4, 1956, he married Mary Alafita. She survives, along with their children, Jennie Johnson, John Wesley Johnson, Jr, both of Clyde and James Johnson, Fremont; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; one brother, Hermis Johnson, Topmost, Ky. also survive.
John, Sr. was preceded in death by his parents, Wid and Dina (Vance) Johnson, step-mother, Luly Johnson; and sisters, Vedi; AnnaMae, Juanita,Rebel and Cordy; brothers, Burnice and Vanert; and half sister, Doris Jean.
Visitation will be on Thursday, August 29, 2013, from 1-3 and 5-7:00 PM at the Mitchell-Auxter Funeral Home, 218 South Main St., Clyde, Ohio. The funeral will be on Friday, August 30, 2013 at 10:30, with visitation from 9:30 until the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Bakertown Cemetery.
