Patricia A. Gassner

REPUBLIC: Patricia A. Gassner, 90, of Republic died Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at her home.

She was born July 27, 1923 in Fremont to the late Francis and Mary Ellen (Kennelly) Dalton. Mrs. Gassner was a member of the Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church. She was an avid reader, bird watcher, enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Gassner is survived by three daughters: Janet (Gene) Crouse of Willard, Susan (Larry) Mackling of Sycamore and Shirley (Mike) Hufford of Sycamore; three sons: Walter (Minh) Gassner Jr, of Bellevue, Francis Gassner of Green Springs, and Donald Gassner of Attica; son-in-law: Francisco Ramon of Bellevue; 15 grandchildren; and 21 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Walter L. Gassner whom she married June 24, 1944; daughter: Mary Ramon; granddaughter: Patty Gassner; sister: Mary Rita Bauer; and brother: Norbert Dalton.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, May 17, 2014 at the Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church. Burial will be in the Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Attica. Friends may call Friday 4-7 P.M. at the Lindsey-Foos-Kocher Funeral Service, 295 W. Tiffin Street, Attica. The Rosary will be prayed at 3:30 pm on Friday.
