FOSTORIA: Richard L. "Dick" Park, 66, of Fostoria, passed away 8:20 pm Thursday, October 11, 2012 at Fostoria Community Hospital. He was born October 19, 1945 in Fostoria to the late Wilson and Lucy (Widman) Park.
Surviving are five siblings, Elizabeth (Richard) Zeyen, Fostoria, Mary Jane Redding, Toledo, William (Joan) Park, Parma, Robert (Dianne) Park, Fostoria and John "Jack" Park, Toledo; sister in law, Carol Park, Aiken, SC; along with nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Park; and brother, Jim Park.
Dick retired December 2010, as the head shipper from National Electrical Carbon, currently Morgan AM&T, Fostoria, after over 40 years of service. He was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria, and a 1963 graduate of St. Wendelin High School.
Visitation is from 4-7 pm, Sunday, October 14, 2012, at HOENING FUNERAL HOME 242 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, where a Christian Wake Service will be held at 6:45 pm. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 am Monday at St. Wendelin Catholic Church, where a Rosary will be prayed at 10 am. A funeral luncheon will be served in the Parish Hall immediately following the Funeral Mass. Cemetery committal services will take place at 2 pm Monday afternoon at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Fremont, where burial will follow.
