RISINGSUN: Robert L. "Bob" Klotz, age 76, of Risingsun, Ohio passed away Saturday (September 8, 2012) at Fostoria Community Hospital. He was born on July 18, 1936 in Fostoria to Byron C. & Lillian M. (Cobb) Klotz. He married Sarah L. Ulmer on December 28, 1958 in Bucyrus, Ohio.
Surviving are his loving wife of 53 years, Sarah; mother, Lillian of Fostoria; son, Robert A. Klotz of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; daughter, Tamara K. "Tami" (Tony) Hoffman of Mt. Victory, Ohio; brothers, Carl (Marilyn) Klotz of Fostoria, Twin Richard (Carol) Klotz of Lakeland, Florida, Donald (Pat) Klotz of Findlay, Stanley (Sharon) Klotz of Woodruff, SC, Douglas (Kim) Klotz of Fostoria; sisters, Joyce Risch of Fremont, Judy Walby of Fremont; grandchildren, Ashley (Kyle) Lamson of Walbash, Indiana, Ryan Davis of Groveport, Ohio, Jennifer Davis of Grove City, Ohio; great-grandchildren, Kimberly, Austin & Chase; and many nieces and nephews.
He was prededed in death by his father, Byron; son, Dennis L. Klotz; brother, David Klotz; brother-in-law, Delbert Risch.
Bob retired in 1993 from Allstate Insurance Company in Bowling Green where he was an agent. He also had worked as a barber in Bucyrus earlier in his career. He attended Trinity United Brethren in Christ Church in Fostoria. He was a 1955 graduate of Portage Township High School and was a Gideon's International Member since 1968. He served his country proudly in the Navy from 1956 to 1962.
He enjoyed fishing, wood working, farming, electrical & plumbing and was involved with many church activities, but his greatest joy was spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren & great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Tuesday (September 11, 2012) at Barndt Funeral Home in Wayne, Ohio. Additional visitation will be from 10-11 AM Wednesday (September 12, 2012) at Trinity United Brethren in Christ Church in Fostoria with a Celebration of Life Service will begin at 11:00 AM with Pastor Sam Suman officiating. Burial will be in Scott-Trinity Cemetery in Scott Township with Military Honors performed by the Wood County Veterans Unit. A bereavement luncheon will follow back at the Fostoria Women's Club at 135 East Fremont Street in Fostoria.
