Ruth Cooper

FREMONT: Ruth Cooper, 81, formerly of Lindsey passed away early Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Valley View Health Care Center, Fremont.

She was born on December 27, 1930 in Lindsey to John & Margaret (Mueller) Keck. She graduated from Fremont Ross High School in 1949. Ruth married Olen W. Cooper on April 22, 1950 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Hessville and he preceded her in death on May 27, 1999. Ruth was a homemaker and worked for Ayling & Reichert in Oak Harbor building carburetor floats retiring in 1991. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, the Women of the Moose and the Eagles Auxiliary. Ruth also liked to play cards.

Surviving are her children, Wayne Cooper of Fremont, Jim (Martine) Cooper of Manitowoc, WI and Penny (Dean) Hetrick of Helena. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Aaron, Ryan, Brad, Rachel, Heather, Zach and Taylor; great-grandchildren, Bailey, Noah, Brianna and Brandon. Ruth is survived by a sister, Betty Aldrich of Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; siblings, Margaret Schwartz, Viola Eberflus, Philip Keck, Helen Geller and John Keck.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 from 10 AM-12 Noon with funeral services beginning at 12 Noon with Pastor Dennis Wansitler at the Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fremont. Burial will follow at Lindsey Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice or to Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Hessville in Ruth's memory.
