FREMONT: Elizabeth Rosina King, age 92, Countryside Continuing Care Center, went home to be with her Lord on April 27, 2012. She was born in New Bremen, Ohio on August 19, 1919 to Harry and Bertha (Huelsmeyer) Wiehe. Elizabeth married the love of her life, James P. King, in New Bremen on October 12, 1940. They were married for 57 years.

Elizabeth was a homemaker raising three sons: John R. King, Thomas H. King, and David J. King. She was a member of First United Church of Christ in Fremont and was an active member of the Women's Fellowship and Sew'n So's quilting group. She loved to help in the church kitchen. She loved to cook, fish, and garden. Elizabeth was well known for her homemade pies and candy. Her chicken noodle soup recipe is still used for the church's Ice Cream Social. She especially loved spending time with family and traveling. Many family vacations were spent together on fishing trips, cruises, and taking grandchildren to see the world. Her grand children and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy. She loved to keep in touch with siblings as well as nieces and nephews even though they may be miles away.

Elizabeth also was a member of the Fremont Women's Federation and the Countywide Garden Club. She often entered flower arrangements and dinner place setting in the Sandusky County Fair. Elizabeth loved being a gracious hostess to the agents and wives of her husband's Nationwide Insurance district.

Survivors include sons Thomas (Rustae) of Fremont, OH, and David (Linda) of Mineral Ridge, OH, daughter-in-law Karen King (John) of Nokesville, VA; grandsons Keith King (Debbie) of Tacoma, WA, Aaron King (Sara) of West Chester, OH, granddaughter Krista Galvez (Tony) of Lawndale, CA; step-granddaughters Michelle Attreed (Kevin) of Manasses, VA, and Kelley Hoff of Hoboken, NJ.; six great-grandchildren; and five step great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her loving family.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, husband James; son John; an infant daughter Rebecca; two brothers Howard and Victor Wiehe; and three sisters Ruth King (Richard), Edna Hirschfeld (Wallace), and Bernice Wittenbrink (Willis).

Calling hours will be 5-8 p.m. Sunday April 29, 2012 at the Keller-Ochs-Koch-Mason Funeral & Cremation Service at 416 S Arch Street, Fremont, OH 43420.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday April 30, 2012 at First United Church of Christ, 1500 Tiffin Road, Fremont, Ohio with a visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Elaine Bast and Lay Minister Nancy Smith will be officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Fremont.
