Steven "Buck" L. Beckman

FREMONT: Steven "Buck" L. Beckman, 58, of Buckland Ave., Fremont passed away on Thursday, September 27, 2012 at Toledo Hospital.

He was born on September 13, 1954 in Fremont, the son of Harold Beckman and Dorothy (Prior) Beckman-Buehler. He was a 1972 graduate of Fremont Ross High School.

Buck married Mary L. Hammer on April 5, 1990 at the Dillon House in Fremont and she survives. He was a Production Coordinator at U.S. Tsubaki for over thirty years and retired in 2010.

Buck was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. He was also a member of the Fremont Moose, Eagles and American Legion and International Associations of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, Local #1711in Sandusky, OH. He enjoyed music, paying his guitar, golf, pool league, karaoke and was a Detroit sports fan. Buck loved spending time with his friends and family.

Buck is survived by his wife, Mary Beckman, Fremont, OH; sons, Jeremy, Matt and Zach Beckman, all of Fremont, OH; siblings, Carol (Ray) Hutchison, St. Claire Shores, MI and Janice (Dave) Longanbach, Fremont, OH; grandchildren, Isabelle and Lilly Beckman; mother-in-law, Evelyn "Evie" Miller and sister-in-law, Karen Hammer, both of Fremont, OH.

He was preceded in death by his parents; step father, Wayne Buehler; and son, Joshua Beckman.

Visitation: Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St., Fremont, OH. Service: Tuesday, October 2, 2012, 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Jody Rice officiating. Burial: Oakwood Cemetery, Fremont.
