William "Bill" Blausey Sr.

WOODVILLE: William "Bill" Blausey Sr., age 82, of Woodville, OH, passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, OH. He was born on November 29, 1930 in Woodville, OH to Walter and Frances (Thorworth) Blausey. On September 2, 1950 he married Marian Geisbuhler in Woodville, OH and she survives.

Bill graduated from Woodville High School in 1948 and then attended the University of Michigan, graduating in 1952. After graduation he worked for McDonnell Aircraft, St. Louis, MO then returned home in 1956 to work in the family business. He was the President and co-owner along with his brother John Blausey for W.H. Blausey, Inc. retiring in 1995. Bill was a member of Solomon Lutheran Church, Woodville, OH where he served on the Endowment and Finance Committees. In his spare time he enjoyed golfing, mushroom hunting, traveling to Santee, SC and vacationing annually with the family in Sanibel Island, FL.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Marian; children Cheryl (Steve) Heisler, Barbara (Jon) LaBriere, and William W. (Amy) Blausey Jr. all of Woodville, OH; grandchildren Zach and Liz Heisler, Andrew (fiancée- Paige Ducat) LaBriere, William III, Katie, Michael and Sophia Blausey; great grandson A.J. LaBriere; brother John (Harriet) Blausey of Sylvania, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters Jeanne Brocke and Anne Chambers.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, December 28, 2012 from 2-8 PM at the Marsh Funeral Home, 201 W. Main St. Woodville, OH. Funeral services will be conducted on December 29, 2012 at 11:00 AM from Solomon Lutheran Church, Woodville, OH with additional visitation from 10 AM until time of services. Officiating will be Rev. Kristina Ahlman. A bereavement luncheon will be served at the church immediately following the cemetery committal services. Interment will be in Westwood Cemetery, Woodville, OH.
