Ellen Marie May

FREMONT: Ellen Marie May, 75, of Fremont, died early Monday, September 16, 2013 at Memorial Hospital.

She was born on January 14, 1938 in Fremont to John and Clarina (Clouse) Borer. Ellen was a 1956 graduate of Old Fort High School. On August 25, 1956 she married Richard May at St. Joseph Church in Fremont and he preceded her in death on March 26, 2013.

Ellen was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, where she volunteered for the Soup Kitchen. She was a member of the Moose, Farm Council, Card Club and several Bowling Leagues. Ellen enjoyed visiting with family, attending grandchildren's activities and cooking. She also volunteered at Share & Care.

Surviving are her children, Sheryl (Steve) Neiling of Fremont, Lisa Skulina of Strongsville, OH and Rick (Jenny) May of Dallas, GA; siblings, Eloise Kramb of Fremont, Joan Halm of Gahanna, Barbara Borer of Fremont and James (Mary) Borer of Bucyrus; and six grandchildren, Amanda and Tyler Skulina, Jacob and Christian Neiling, Bayley and Jill May. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and siblings Herman, Robert, Bernard, Donald, John Borer and Eileen Gegorski.

Visitation will be on Thursday, September 19 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church with services following at 11a.m. at the church. Pastor Jody Rice will officiate. Burial will be at McGormley Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to Grace Lutheran Church or to a in Ellen's memory.

The family would like to thank Valley View Health Care Center for the love and care that she was given during her stay.
