Margaret Susan Rector, 94, of Elizabethtown, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, at her residence.
Mrs. Rector was a member of St. Brigid Catholic Church in Vine Grove and retired from Army and Air Force Exchange at Fort Knox.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Robert Rector Sr.; two sons, Charles B. Rector and Robert E. Gaisbuer; two brothers; and five sisters.
Survivors include five children, George Robert Rector Jr. of Elizabethtown, Mary Jane Huckins and her husband, Ken, of Seffener, Fla., Kay Ellen Condon and her husband, Herbert, of Radcliff, Eugene M. Rector and his wife, Tomey, of Elizabethtown and Jo Anne Lancaster and her husband, Donnie, of Radcliff; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and a special caregiver, Mary.
A Mass of Christian burial for Mrs. Rector is at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, at St. Brigid Catholic Church in Vine Grove with the Rev. Daniel Lincoln officiating. Burial follows in St. Martin Cemetery in Flaherty.
Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday and continues at 9 a.m. Saturday at Coffey & Chism Funeral Home in Vine Grove. A prayer service is at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
