James C. Brown, 69, of Okolona, returned to his Heavenly Father on Monday, Dec. 3, 2012.
Mr. Brown was born Dec. 13, 1942 in Danville and was a U.S. Air Force veteran who served during Vietnam. He worked as a wholesale manager in the heating and air conditioning trade in Elizabethtown and was a member of Brooks Baptist Church.
Among those who preceded him in death are his mother, Elizabeth Brown Padgett.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 48 years, Virginia Brown; three children, Thomas Brown (Cindy Street), Elizabeth Marie Raymer (Mike) and Ramona Barnes (Nathan); six grandchildren, Kim, Bryan, Nikki, Brandon, Kayla and Zakk; a sister, Bev-erly Ellemen; and a host of other family and friends.
The funeral is at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 7, at Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home, Preston Highway at Brooks Road in Louisville, with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
Friends may pay their respects from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to Hosparus of Louisville or the VA Hospital.
