Martha Dunn Obituary

Martha Reyes Dunn, 56, of Elizabethtown, died Saturday May 3, 2014, at Hardin Memorial Hospital.

She was a native of Guadalajara, Mexico, and retired as a dentist. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved to exercise, dance, cook, play volleyball and spending time with her family. "She will always live in our hearts and we will always remember her as a fighter." Por siempre en nuestros corazones, Te amamos guerrera incansable que amo la vida. Tus hijos y nietos.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Felipe and Luz Reyes Villalvazo; a sister, Catalina; and a brother, David.

She is survived by her husband of three years, Philip Dunn; two daughters, Martha Delgado Rowe of Elizabethtown and Claudia Jimenez Reyes of Guadalajara; a son, Manuel Jimenez Reyes of Guadalajara; two step-daughters, Sherry Smith of Louisville and Jennifer Leonard of Cox's Creek; a stepson, Jason Dunn of Bardstown; six siblings, Felipe, Silvia, Ricardo, Salvador, Luz and Dario; 11 grandchildren, Luz, Isabella, Tyler, Krystal, Mathew, Tyler, Nicholas, Justin, Aidan, Brianna and Emily.

The funeral is at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 6, at St. James Catholic Church with the Rev. Chuck Walker officiating. Cremation was chosen by the family.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown and continues after 9 a.m. am Tuesday at the church.
