Mrs. Betty Frances Tucker Curry, 80, of Greensburg, daughter of the late Castle Tucker and Ada Kate Judd Tucker, was born March 2, 1934, in Green County and departed this life on Friday, March 28, 2014.
She united in marriage to the Rev. Stanley Thurston Curry on June 19, 1948. He preceded her in death on June 8, 1982.
Mrs. Curry also was preceded in death by two daughters, Tammy Jo Curry on May 25, 1969, and Patricia Lynn "Patty" Shaw on June 11, 2008; a granddaughter, Terra Lynn Shaw on June 12, 1989; a sister, Becky Judd; and three brothers, Tommy Tucker, Weldon Tucker and Bloyd Tucker.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law and four daughters and three sons-in-law: Stan and Kim Curry of Campbellsville, Beverly and Larry Ennis of Greensburg, Becky and Brad Todd of Elizabethtown, Sheila Curry of Greensburg, and Sherry and Terry Aaron of Greensburg; a sister, Ann McKinney of Louisville; 11 grandchildren and five grandchildren-in-laws: Jackie and Jeff Knipp, Jamie and Cheslee Bloyd, Steve and Brooke Shaw, Christopher Todd, Kristen Todd, Kyle Todd, Nikki Taylor, Matthew Taylor, Jeremy Whitlow and Jordan Upchurch, Katie and Toby Curry, and Brent Fulkerson; five great-grandchildren: Shelby Nalley, Paxton Bloyd, Carter Curry, Ansley Bloyd and Lincoln Shaw.
The funeral for Mrs. Betty Curry is at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 30, 2014, at Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home in Greensburg with burial to follow in Brooks-Pierce Cemetery in Green County. Brothers Daryl Jessie and Carlos Compton are officiating.
Memorials are suggested to the Gideon Bible Fund or the Prayers for Paxton Fund and can be made at the funeral home.
