J.T. Hutchins Sr., 90, of Ekron, died Thursday, Dec. 18, 2014, at North Hardin Health and Rehabili­tation Center in Radcliff. Survivors include two children, Sherry Price and Joseph T. Hutchins Jr. The funeral is at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 22, at Hager Funeral Home in Brandenburg. Burial follows in Salem Cemetery in Brandenburg. Hawkins, Ruth Ester - Elizabethtown  
Ruth Ester Hawkins, 90, of Elizabethtown, died Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014, at Elizabethtown Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was a native of Christian County, and worked as a nurse's assistant at Hardin Memorial Hospital and Ireland Army Hospital. She was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Morris Hawkins; parents, John Jefferson and Susie Morgan Ladd; and seven brothers and sisters. She is survived by five daughters, Brenda (Jerry) Marr, Barbara (Steve) Brangers, Lena Coombs, all of Elizabethtown, Debra (Randy) Bush of Russell Springs, and Donna Allen of Radcliff; a son, Thomas Lee Hawkins of Louisville; a sister-in-law, Helena "Sis" Crady of Nashville, Tennessee; 13 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. There is a graveside service at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Hardin Memorial Park. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and after 11 a.m. Tuesday at Brown Funeral Home. Hunt, Thomas Lee - Vine Grove  
Thomas Lee Hunt, 71, of Vine Grove, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2014, at North Hardin Health and Rehab in Radcliff and went to be with his Lord. Thomas was retired from the U.S. Army, a Vietnam veteran and a retired U.S. Treasury/U.S. Mint police officer. He was a Kentucky Colonel, active member of the Fraternal Order of Police and active member of the Disabled American Veterans Association (Chapter 3) and served as an assistant chaplain and the Association of the U.S. Army (AUSA). He had also actively supported a number of charities over the years. A couple of his passions were his church, the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, and the St. Joseph's Indian School in South Dakota for the children of the Lakota Indian tribe. He was always busy with these as well as living his own faith as a church elder and Bible study leader. Thomas made a profession of faith early in life at 9 years, 3 months of age and knew his Lord well. Now, he has joined his beloved angel in Heaven with their Lord and Savior. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Donna Mae (Petty) Hunt, an angel gift from God; his parents, John Dewey and Bessie Leona Bennett Hunt; two sisters, Faye Smith (Glen) and Susan Bolin (Jack); and a brother, Robert Hunt. Survivors include his son, Troy Daniel Hunt of West Liberty; and a daughter, Terina Ann Hunt McKinney (Guy) of Louisville; five granddaughters, Jessica and Charlene Hunt, Cassandra, Tiffany and Marisa J.C. McKinney; and four grandsons, Eric Jameson, Jason McKinney, Aaron McKinney and Leighton Jameson; two brothers, Dean Hunt (Judith) and Carroll Hunt; sister-in-law, Lita; and many other relatives and friends. The funeral is at 1 p.m. today, Dec. 11, at Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home in Piggott, Arkansas. Burial follows in Piggott Cemetery in Piggott, Arkansas. Visitation is from 11 a.m. today until service time. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m Saturday, Dec. 13, at Radcliff Christian Church in Radcliff.
