Arey M. Milby, 73, of Hodgenville, passed away Monday, May 5, 2014, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.
He retired from Magnet Wire Division. He loved his job as a farm hand for Donald McDowell, Charlie Poore and Wesley Pearman. He was a member of Gavel Masonic Lodge No. 813 and Eastern Star for 25 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer Ray and Lillian Morgan Milby; a sister, Marie Mitchell; and a brother, Leonard Milby.
He is survived by a daughter, Sarah Wright of Hodgenville; two grandchildren, Connie and Derek Wright of Mount Sherman; four brothers, Harold Milby of Marion County, William Milby of Greensburg, Donald Wayne Milby of Campbellsville and Edward Milby of Gabe; and two sisters, Louise Dodson and Patsy Moran, both of Summersville.
The funeral for Arey Milby is at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 8, at William R. Rust Funeral Home Hodgenville Chapel with the Rev. Gordon McDowell officiating. There will be a private burial in Mount Moriah Cemetery.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. today with a Masonic service and continues at 9 a.m. Thursday until time of service at the funeral home.
