Beth Coakley Lewis of Goshen, Ky., born Sara Beth Coakley on March 27, 1958, and married to Gary W. Lewis on June 24, 1983, died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2012, in Louisville. Beth vigorously battled brain cancer and was a long survivor. She passed surrounded by family and many friends.

Beth was most proud of her accomplished, loving sons, Stewart Harrison Lewis and Boone Coakley Lewis, both of Goshen, Ky.

Beth was a graduate of Elizabethtown High School and the University of Kentucky, where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority. Beth founded Lewis Interiors in 1984 and successfully operated this nationally awarded interior design firm until she passed. Lewis Interiors showcased her talents in countless Bellarmine show homes, Homarama projects and private projects extensively published in national magazines.

She was a friend to many throughout her life. She was compassionate, kind and genuine. She was a most loving mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. For those fortunate enough to be touched by her, take solace in knowing her spirit endures.
