Betty F. Allison

Betty F. Allison, 84, of New Castle, formerly of Radcliff, passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2013, at Jefferson Place Nursing Home in Louisville after a short illness.
Daughter of the late Harold and Mary (Freeman) Floyd, she was a homemaker and a farmer. Betty retired as a registered nurse after graduating from the Kentucky Baptist School of Nursing. She was a member of New Castle First Baptist Church, serving as church clerk for many years and was a former deacon. She was a past Henry County Cattleman of the Year and a loyal supporter of the University of Kentucky Wildcats.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Allison. She is survived by a son, John F. Allison of New Castle; two sisters, Mary Cobb Asente and Nancy Bland, both of Lebanon; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Jane Moloney of Lexington; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral is 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at New Castle First Baptist Church. Memorial contributions may be made to New Castle First Baptist Church.
Visitation is 4 p.m. today at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home.
