Cecilia M. Hartman, 89, passed away Wednesday morning, Jan. 16, 2013.
She was the beloved wife of the late Harry E. Hartman for 42 years.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Kathleen Brown. She was the sister of and preceded in death by Kathleen, Helen, Terry, Joseph and Paul.
Being the wife of a career Navy chief, she raised six children, mostly on her own, due to the many deployments of her husband. When Harry retired she worked as a nurse's aid at Holy Redeemer Hospital.
Cele and Harry relocated to Manahawkin, and she volunteered on the Stafford Township First Aid Squad from 1972-78. When Harry passed away in 1986, Cecilia relocated to Elizabethtown.
In Kentucky, Cele did volunteer hospice work with Hosparus Central Kentucky. Cele had a way of put-ting a smile on every person she came into contact with. She often lied about her age when she was caring for younger people.
Cecilia was a member of The Red Hat Society chapter in Kentucky and served as queen mother for a period of time.
Cecilia is survived by six children, Kathleen (Stow-ell) of Tennessee, Harry E. of California, James E. of Pennsylvania, Donna M. (DiFalco) of Michigan, Daniel E. of Texas and Cecilia (Langoski) of Ken-tucky; 18 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Margaret Mary.
A funeral Mass is at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. John Bosco Church, 235 E. County Line Road in Hatboro, Pa., with interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Cheltenham, Pa.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Louis Swift Plunkett Funeral Home in Hatboro. There will be no visitation Thursday.
