Charles Howard "Charlie" Waters Sr., 82, of Lebanon Junction, died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.
He was a native of Lebanon Junction and was retired from International Harvester in Louisville and Publishers Printing Company in Lebanon Junction. He was a city councilman for 10 years for the city of Lebanon Junction. He also was a member of Faith Baptist Bible Church in Lebanon Junction.
He was preceded in death by a son, William Curtis Waters; six sisters; and two brothers.
Survivors include his wife, the former Betty Baker Waters; one daughter, Anna Bohannon (Dale) of Elizabethtown; one son, Chuck Waters (Brenda) of Lebanon Junction; two brothers, Larry Waters of Bloomfield and Bobby Waters of Louisville; one sister, Faye Ryan of Louisville; four grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
The funeral is at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 21, at Faith Baptist Bible Church in Lebanon Junction with the Rev. Billy Joe McClain officiating. Burial follows in Lebanon Junction City Cemetery.
Visitation is from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Kappel Funeral Home in Lebanon Junction and continues at 9 a.m. Monday at the church.
