Chris L. Hunsinger, 57, of Elizabethtown, died Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, at University Hospital in Louisville.
He was a native of Rushville, Ind., grew up in Brownsburg, Ind., and was a graduate of Indiana University
. He worked as director of planning and zoning for Hardin County for 32 years. He was a member of the American Planning Association, the Audubon Society and Vine Grove United Methodist Church. He was a Kentucky Colonel and attended Memorial United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Kathy Houston Hunsinger; a daughter, Anna (Brian) Bratta of Lansing, Mich.; his parents, Byron and Aleene Apple Hunsinger of Brownsburg, Ind.; two sisters, Janene (Azar) Nader of Cincinnati, and Jana (Kenny) Thompson of Brownsburg, Ind.; and a granddaughter, Teagan Kathleen Bratta of Lansing, Mich.
A memorial service is at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, at Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Matthew Kimmons officiating.
Cremation was chosen.
Visitation is from 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
Brown Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
