Clarence Wayne Walters, 70, of Elizabethtown, died Friday, May 3, 2013, at Hardin Memorial Hospital.
He was a native of Bonnieville and retired from the U.S. Air Force
and Air National Guard. He worked for civil service in the maintenance department and at General Electric. He was a member of First Christian Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Wade and Thelma Loyall Walters.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Betty Akers Walters; a son, Eric (Kristen) Walters of Louisville; two brothers, Bobby Walters of Louisville and Bennie Jo Walters of Colorado; a sister, Lucille (Don) Wilkerson of Huntsville, Ala.; and three grandchildren, Madelyn, Henry and Livi Walters.
The funeral is 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 8, at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with the Revs. Stuart Jones, Doug Mitchell and Chris Kiger officiating. Burial follows in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-Central in Radcliff.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and continues after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
