Donald Lee Taylor, 67, of Elizabethtown, died Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at Kindred Hospital in Louisville.
He was a native of LaRue County who graduated from LaRue County High School in 1964. He retired after 22 years of service as a carpenter superintendent for McNutt Construction. He was a member of Salem Christian Church and attended Tunnel Hill Baptist Church. He loved hunting and fishing and was an avid University of Kentucky basketball fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Edna Slack Taylor and Riley Taylor Sr.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Radcliffe Taylor; four daughters, Rachel (Anthony) Dennehy of Fredericksburg, Va., and Donna (Mike) Drueke, Sarah Taylor and DeeAnn Taylor-Sickles, all of Elizabethtown; a stepson, Robert (Tiffany) Brewer of Midlothian, Va.; two brothers, Robert (Betty) Taylor of Elizabethtown and Richard (Mary) Taylor of Louisville; and seven grandchildren.
The funeral is at 11 a.m. Monday, March 10, at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with Brothers Josh Looten and Scott Wiggins officiating. Burial follows in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
Visitation is from 2:30 to 6 p.m. Sunday and continues at 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
