Isaac Norman McGohon, 87, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2013, at his daughter's home in Roswell, Ga.
He was the beloved husband of Kelsie Taylor McGohon for 66 years and resided in Elizabethtown. Mr. McGohon was born April 10, 1926, in Bardstown. He lived most of his live in Marion County where he was a member of First Baptist Church in Lebanon. In more recent years he was a member of Gilead Baptist Church in Elizabethtown.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack Overton and Aline Elizabeth Greer McGohon; a sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Jarboe; and a grandson, Joshua Michael Lynch.
Survivors include his wife, Kelsie Taylor McGohon; a son, Isaac Norman "Sonny" McGohon of Thomson, Ga.; a daughter, Sharon McGohon (Bill) Lynch of Roswell; five grandchildren, William Isaac and Amanda Ashley Lynch and Mary Alison, Ryan Christopher and Katelyn Anne McGohon; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bill (Mildred) McGohon and Jack (Linda) McGohon, all of Louisville; two sisters, Marvelle Mattingly of Lebanon and Wanda (Glen) Gabbart of Kansas.
The funeral is at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, at Bosley Funeral Home in Lebanon with the Rev. Sam Hinkson officiating. Burial follows in Highview Methodist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be William Isaac Lynch, Terry Jarboe, Pat Mattingly, Jeffery McGohon, Kelly McGohon and Scott McGohon.
