Jane Lewis, 86, of Hodgenville, passed away Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013, at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville.
She retired from General Motors
in Pennsylvania after several years of service. She was a member of Buffalo Baptist Church.
She was born Aug. 12, 1927, to the late Stith and Bertha Sprowles Lewis.
She also was preceded in death by her daughter, Diane Morris; and three sisters, Estelle Petersworth, Edna Skaggs and Doris Hancock; a brother, Jean Willian; and her stepmother, Nanny Lewis.
She is survived by a son, Eddie Morris; two sisters, Nancy Akers of Buffalo and Elizabeth Hite of Louisville; three grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and friends.
A memorial service is at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013, at Rust-Wright Funeral Home in Hodgenville with the Rev. Gordon McDowell officiating. She will be laid to rest in Buffalo Cemetery.
Visitation is from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013, at the funeral home.
